Turbotax and MN Revenue

From MN Department of Revenue: 2/7/2015
"Today the Minnesota Department of Revenue announced it is again accepting tax returns submitted using TurboTax as of 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7.

We took this step after Intuit implemented new “targeted security measures.” We will continue reviewing returns and will remain in contact with the company.

If you already filed your return using TurboTax, you do not need to do anything. We will review your return and contact you if we identify issues.

e-filing and other options

A reminder: instead of using all of those paper forms, why not e-file your taxes? It's quicker, eliminates errors, and if you save to your computer instead of printing it's better for the environment. (I recommend a backup either on a flash drive, online or both) Also choosing direct deposit, will allow you to receive your refund faster and not worry about getting to the bank. Choosing direct withdraw will allow you to save mailing or writing a check.

There are several ways to e-file:

difficult driving conditions

In the winter Snow and Ice can make it difficult to drive. Avoid driving, if possible during difficult conditions. If you must drive, Allow extra time to get to your destination. Slow Down. Have snow and ice cleared from your vehicle. Keep your headlights on. Have a survivor kit including water, food, blanket, flashlight, and wear winter clothing including coat, hat, gloves/mittens.
