Enjoy skiing and snowshoeing by the light of the moon, with candle luminaries to help guide the way. Three separate routes are lit for this popular annual event.

Two skiing routes and a shuttle bus will run continuously between the Trail Center and the Interpretive Center. Ski rental ($10/day for skis, boots and poles) is available at the Park Office on a first-come, first-served basis. A Minnesota Ski Pass is required for all skiers over 16 years of age.

A 1/2-mile snowshoeing trail will start at the Interpretive Center, where traditional snowshoes will be offered free of charge for those who wish to try the candlelit trail. Snowshoe rental is also available at the Park Office.

After exploring the trails, visitors can warm up around a crackling fire while they enjoy hot cider and cookies at the Interpretive Center. This event is co-sponsored by the Natural Resource Club of Central Lakes College.
Directions: 1 mile off U.S. Hwy. 169 on Co. Rd. 26, about 8 miles north of Onamia.
